Liverpool fc avoided defeat today that would have have given the premier league title to defending champions Manchester city.
City now have the advantage to go and win the league for second successive season after triumphing last season. Spurs were the party spoilers for Liverpool, I was not surprised at all as Spurs have done similar damage to Manchester City earlier in the season when they beat City by 3 goals to 2 at the ethiad stadium.
After falling 1-0 behind early on in the second half Liverpool took charge, and sure enough Jurgen klopp's men got the equalizer their play deserved as they searched for that elusive winner which never came. It was a very good performance by Spurs, they were compact, afforded Liverpool little or no space to play their usual high octane football that we have come to associate them with for the past five seasons.
Despite the good performance from Spurs, If Arsenal wins tomorrow against Leeds United they will be four points behind the gunners, and that will make the north London derby next week a crucial one for either of the team.
As the season reaches it's peak, it stretches each of these teams into who's going to slip up for the other to take full advantage of. It promises to even get crucial next week and you don't want to miss out on any of these.
